Description
A template for making radius corners in tiles quickly and precisely with a diamond core bit, ideal for retrofitting in a finished bathroom.
The EasyCut template is especially useful when the bathroom is already finished and the customer decides to add a flush button, access panel, socket, switch, ventilation grille or other built-in product later.
Instead of measuring by hand and gluing on guides, you make radius corners quickly and precisely. Once the corners are drilled, the opening is finished by hand along the template's guide edges. Interchangeable corner inserts allow different radii.
Benefits
- quick, precise radius corners
- easier hand cutting of tiles
- ideal for retrofitting in a tiled bathroom
- lower risk of cracking tiles already in place
- repeatable, professional results
- no complicated measuring and setting up
Radii
- R5 → core bit Ø10 mm
- R10 → core bit Ø20 mm
- R15 → core bit Ø30 mm
- R20 → core bit Ø40 mm
Important
The Main template variant contains only the template, without corner inserts. To use it you also need one set of corner inserts for the required radius (4 pcs R5, R10, R15 or R20). If you don't have a suitable diamond core bit, you can buy one too.
Recommended core bit
You'll get the best results with a smooth diamond core bit chosen for ceramic and porcelain tiles. Unlike aggressive coarse-grained bits, it doesn't chip or tear the surface of the tile.
Cooling while drilling
The bit must be cooled with water continuously while drilling. The template has hose holders on all four sides, so the water goes straight to the cut. Enough cooling greatly extends the life of the tool and improves the quality of the cut, especially in porcelain and hard ceramics.
Please note
With this method, the pattern or texture of the tile doesn't continue smoothly across the fitted product, because the opening is made afterwards rather than from one piece of tile. For plain, single-colour tiles, EasyCut is a quick, precise and cost-effective solution.
